Greeting from Judith Gerlach, Bavarian State Ministry of Health, Care and Prevention
Care has long been a task for society as a whole. I am therefore delighted that ALTENPFLEGE, Europe's most important meeting place for professional care and support for senior citizens, is bringing together all the key players from politics, science, interest groups, product and service providers and care professionals.
Care is an issue for the future and is particularly close to my heart as Bavarian Minister of Care. That is why we are already doing a lot in Bavaria to continue to strengthen carers as our most important resource and to promote the next generation of skilled workers. We will also break new ground with digitalisation. This applies in particular to our HighCare Agenda entitled ‘Care for tomorrow - self-determined, holistic, intergenerational, regionally available and digitally supported’. This will enable us to introduce innovative care technologies into the provision of care and at the same time free it from bureaucracy.

A varied programme awaits you in Nuremberg, offering an in-depth insight into the most important topics of care for the elderly and presenting innovations for the care of the future. I am particularly pleased that the Bavarian State Ministry of Health, Care and Prevention is once again represented at ALTENPFLEGE this year. You are welcome to visit our stand and find out about our wide range of funding and support options as well as exciting projects.
